It is reported that Nickel Asia Corporation of Philippines will be together with Baosteel Resources Co Limited, a subsidiary of China’s Baosteel, to develop a laterite nickel mine in the Philippines.

The mine is located in an island in northern Mindanao. NAC fully owns the property now, and its half output of nickel ore exports to China.

NAC had Japanese investors before, but it hasn’t yet had a similar deal with its Chinese buyers. NAC said that the mine is still being explored now, but it declined to specify the mine’s potential output.
